Field Trip General Info

​

 

 

 


 

  • We offer Field Trips to a variety of community-based organizations: public and private schools, home schools, day care centers, preschools, summer day camps, charitable organizations, church groups, clubs, etc. 

  • Clean outhouse 

  • All attractions are accessible

  • Field trips run rain or shine

  • Registrations will be booked in the order they are received

  • Children must be accompanied by adults while at our farm

  • Please wear boots

  • Parking is free and easy access for buses

We ask...

  • Parents and teachers are responsible for supervision of children.  Children should not be allowed to venture on their own

  • Be aware of children's allergies and reactions. We are a farm so there are animals, bees, hay and various plants

  • Remind students to dress appropriately (boots, raincoats, sweaters, etc)

​

Group Rate

There is a 10-person minimum to be eligible for group rate

​

  • Admission is a donation of $5.00 per student and chaperones ( donations are used to plant more native forbs and grasses for the bison and cover crops for the other animal's pastures)

  • Teachers are free
  • Field trips are 1-3 hours (depending on the age of the group)

​

Extra​

  • A heated or cooled shed with chalk boards can be utilized for a lesson taught by the teachers

  • A heated or cooled shed is available for lunch 

​

Payment

  • We accept payments in cash or checks made out to Ashleigh Lerg

  • Payment is due prior to the start of activities on the day of your visit

  • Farm staff will greet you when you arrive and verify your method of payment and number of guests

Hold and pet a baby chick or duckling with adult help

Visit the bison and feed them grass
Feed the hens

Collect eggs

After your visit...

Using crayons or markers or paints, make animal pictures with your child. Give them opportunity to share their experience

Ask questions such as what do the animals eat
Read more animal books
Sing farm songs together
