Today I made bison burgers with homemade hamburger buns. It was beyond amazing. I just want to take a moment to recognize Ashleigh Lerg and all of her hard work to make this burger possible. The meat comes from her bison farm, Humble Beginnings Ranch in Saint Johns, MI. I have had the pleasure of watching her farm grow. A few years ago she put up the fences and started her herd. Year after year the herd grew. This was the first year she was able to process the meat. I was lucky enough to snag some of that deliciousness. Ashleigh works endless hours to provide us with fresh meat. I know the animals on her farm have been truly cared for and live a happy life.
